CASE STUDY:
DEFENDING HONDURAS
SUCCESS AT CONTROLLING
DISEASES IN HONDURAS
INZECTO Mosquito Chips were used by Operation Blessing, one of the largest charities in America, on a one-year mosquito control project to help fight Zika, Dengue, and Chikungunya in Honduras.
Larvicidal chips and stickers were placed in all pilas, drums, buckets, and cisterns in the village of Monte Verde, Honduras, a village plagued by mosquito carried diseases.
That year the village of Monte Verde recorded 0 cases of Zika, 0 of Dengue, 0 cases of Chikungunya.
In the nearby village of Choloma, similar to Monte Verde, where only traditional and rudimental mosquito control systems were adopted, 71 verified cases of Dengue, 3 of Zika, and 1 of Chikungunya was recorded in the same year.
Operation Blessing provides strategic relief on an ongoing basis in 39 countries through core programs such as disaster relief, health and medical care, hunger relief, vulnerable children & orphan care, safe water, and community development.
